In 2009 I set up my own business specialising in drawing portraits. I have always loved drawing and painting and with the encouragement of my family and friends, finally made the decision to turn my hobby into a full time career. I have also always had an inner belief that my artwork contains something special, and I am overjoyed that I now have the chance to share my work with many people.

I live in rural Norfolk with my husband and my two very wonderful and inspiring children.

In my work I am seeking to capture the spirit and joy of the subject. Portraits are typically atmospheric, showing movement and great depth.

Why is my business different?

Every single drawing is absolutely unique, and I pride myself on the time and care I give to each one in order to produce a work of stunning quality.

I always keep to timescale - if your portrait is for a special occaision I will ensure it is completed by the agreed date.

I am an accredited member of Produced in Norfolk and Buy Local. I work from home and my materials are all locally resourced.

Unlike many artists my prices include mounting and framing.

Whilst much of my work is portraiture, I can also draw landscapes, buildings and any item of special importance to you. Although I normally work in pencil, I can use other mediums as required.

Commissions undertaken at affordable prices - A 4" x 6" drawing of a single person or pet, mounted to 8" x 10" and framed, would be £55 to £60. A 8" x 10" drawing of a single person or pet, mounted to 16" x 20" and framed, would be £80 to £100. Other sizes are available on request, please contact me to discuss these. The cost of postage (at standard UK rates) will also need to be charged in some cases.

Specialising in drawing Individual and Group Portraits - A drawing of more than one person or pet would range in price from £80 to £120 according to size (mount and frame included). The cost of postage will also need to be charged in some cases. Please contact me to discuss your individual requirements as I will always try to accommodate your needs if I can. Where possible this can include bringing the completed picture to you at home. If for any reason you are not happy with the final product you do not have to buy it. Portraits are a very personal thing, and if you feel I haven't quite captured what you are looking for, then you should not feel obliged to purchase the picture.

From Still life or photo image - I work mainly from photographs and am able to either take the photograph myself, or draw from a favourite photograph you already have.

Wedding Portraits - In the coming weeks a range of wedding portraits will be shown on this website. This is an exciting new area of work which I am developing. Prices for wedding portraits range from £120 to £250 according to size and complexity (mount and frame included).

Other unique pieces of artwork also undertaken to order - Over the years I have undertaken various other pieces of work in acrylic paint including the following:
Landscapes, flowers and birds on canvas, flowers painted on slate, and individual designs using acrylics on walls in homes. In time I will be looking to show some examples of these on my website.

Your confidentiality is of the highest importance to me.

I wish to assure everyone considering commissioning a portrait that the name and all personal details of the people and animals that I draw will never be made public.

It is nice to add new portraits to my website from time to time, and show copies of pictures at craft fairs and displays I attend. However, I would ALWAYS ask your permission before doing this, totally respecting your views whatever your decision in this matter.
